Badjura Custom Cork Floats
Fred Badjura is a living legend when it comes to British Columbia steelhead fishing. Fred started making custom cork floats and selling them out of his car on the Thompson River back in the early 1950s. Fred’s floats became legendary in the region and so did Fred. As a former Director of the BC Federation of Drift Fishers Fred was an avid steelhead fisherman his entire life.
Brian Badjura learned float making from his father and continues the tradition today. You can buy cork floats in most major tackle shops but nice cork floats are a whole different story. Each Badjura float is hand made in British Columba to the exacting standards established over 70 years. Brian makes floats from 2 grams up to 40 grams and is one heck of a nice guy.
